YAO OUT AGAIN!

Yao Ming has done it again. The former all-star has suffered a stress fracture in his foot that will sideline him for the rest of the season. Yao has only played 5 games in the past two seasons including missing all of last year with a similar injury. If Yao wishes to return, surgery is required and his rehab will last about 7-10 months.

CARMELO ANTONY CUSTOM 12S

These were originally made for Carmelo to wear during the 09-10 season, but I don't recall Melo wearing these on the court. In my opinion , these are the best custom 12s I have seen

KOBE PE 3S

With the upcoming release of the Jordan "cement" 3s, Kobe hoped on the Jordan bandwagon and got his own player exclusive of the 3s. These custom shoes feature a primary white with gold and purple pin striping to match the Lakers color way. Cant wait to see KB rock these on the court

JORDAN QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"I never thought a role model should be negative"

WEEKLY WRAP UP

Already a week into the NBA season, the Miami Heat have played exceptionally well over the course of there first 5 games of the young season. The Heat struggled in there season opener against the tough defensive front court of the Boston Celtics, but showed signs of greatness in the second half closing the gap to 3 points with one minute left. Though Miami had no business being in that game, The heat only gave up 88 points in an 8 point loss.
Miami then bounced back the next night to beat the 76ers by 10 and upped there level of play in there home opener by dismantling the Orlando Magic and winning big by 26 points. That Sunday, the Heat would keep on rolling by defeating the New Jersey Nets by 23. And recently as of last night, the heat would completely trample over the T-Wolves by 32 points. Through 5 games, Miami has won 4 and lost 1 and are currently on a 4 game winning steak.

NEW LOOK JERSEYS!

This year, the NBA has introduced there new look jerseys for the upcoming 2010-2011 basketball season. These new jerseys were made by Adidas and are known as the Revolution 30. As the first uniform update in decades, the revo. 30 is completely Eco friendly. They are made from 60 percent recycled material and is 30 percent lighter than the older uniforms and dry twice as fast. The inner part of the jersey is made with less stitching to increase comfort and is made of a mesh fabric to breath better. If these new uniforms look familiar then thats because the players in last seasons all-star game at Cowboy stadium wore prototypes to test these new stylish and clean cut uniforms. IGNORING THE HATERS

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra isn't letting the negative comments get to him. Spol is just ignoring the adversity and is staying focused on the upcoming season and getting ready for the opening of training camp less than two weeks away. It is from all this negativity that the heat are going to hold training camp up in the Panhandle, over 650 miles away from Miami. All of this is stemming from the Heats tremendous offseason with the free agent signings of Lebron James and Chris bosh, along with retaining Dwyane Wade. In my opinion, people are just mad because Miami pulled off something most felt were impossible. Like Erik said, "if other teams had the opportunity to do what we did, they would"

ON THE GO?

Carmello is at it again. According to sources close to the situation, Anthony has requested to be traded, preferably before the start of the regular season. Rumors suggest that the disgruntled all star has his sights on either the Chicago Bulls or the New York Kncks. The Knicks will like to sign Mello in free agency as they will have enough cap space with the upcoming expiring contracts of Eddy Curry. The Bulls can offer in return via trade a small forward in Louel Deng and also part ways with Taj Gibson. Other teams in the mix are the LA Clippers, Houston Rockets, and New Jersey Nets

ALREADY IN A NEW YORK STATE OF MIND?

Carmello Anthony seems to already have one foot out the door when it comes to him leaving the Denver Nuggets. Once source says Anthony has told confidants he is very eager to play in New York. Another source close to the situation said Carmello already wants to play in New York. The biggest issue for Anthony is turning down the 3 year, 65 million dollar extension from the Denver Nuggets. This is because the current collective bargaining agreement expires in 10 months and the new agreement is going to be much less lucrative for players. This is because league officials are highly determined to clamp down on player movement and player salaries.
Personally I feel that Anthony should stay put in Denver. I mean his current situation there is great and will only get better. Denver is already a top 3 seed in the west andseem to make the playoffs every year. The Nuggets aren't as old as a few other teams. I mean, the lakers aren't going to be great forever with their main stars seeking retirement in the next 3-5 seasons. The spurs are very old and are only going to drop. The Mavs and Suns always choke in the first few rounds of the playoffs, and the Thunder are still young. Denver is only a one big man away from making even bigger noise in the NBA. Besides, no matter where he goes, Carmello still wont be able to escape the Miami Heat. Carmello, the Heat will be dominant for a very long time, so even if you do leave, your not going to be winning any titles anytime soon. So just stay in Denver and make 20 million plus and try again in 3 years.

NBA RELEASES 2010-2011 SEASON SCHEDULE!

MOTOR CITY McGRADY

The Detroit Pistons announced today that they have signed free agent forward Tracy McGrady. Tracy's contract is for one year at the veterans minimum of 1.3 million dollars. McGrady worked out with the team late last week and there were speculations that the 31 year old disgruntled T-Mac would indeed be Piston bound. Tracy came very close to agreeing to terms with the Bulls, but negotiations broke down after disputes regarding Tracy's role on the team. Tracy had also worked out with the Cavs, but was never expected to be offered a contract.
One source said T-Mac agreed to play behind starters Richard Hamilton and Taysaun Prince with out any conditions. But Prince is rumored to be possibly traded before the start of the season. But according to another source, Detroit will only trade Prince if he requests a trade. The Pistons will look to unjam there their depth at both shooting guard and small forward. Until then, it seems like Tracy is going to attempt to resurrect whats left of his carreer in the motor city

BEANTOWN BOUND?

Shaquille O'neal is likely to be wearing Celtic green for the upcoming NBA season. ESPN first reported that Shaq is likely to sign with the Boston Celtics as soon as Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Boston can only offer the veterans minimum of 1.35 million dollars for a veteran who has played 10 or more seasons. If the big fella requests more money, the Cavs could work up some kind of trade that will appeal to both parties. Shaq made 20 million dollars last season with Cleveland last season. Shaq (age 38), had been the likely canidate for the Atlanta Hawks until they heard of Shaq's want of more money. Up until then, Atlanta was the front-runner to sign the 4 time NBA champ. Talks with Atlanta has since died down and Boston has emerged as the team most likely to sign the future hall of famer. It will be strange to see O'neal in Celtic green considering his past with the Lakers. Boston would be Shaq's 3rd team in 3 seasons and his 6th team over the coarse of his 18 season carreer.

SEASON OPENERS

NBA fans now know how who will be kicking off the 2010-2011 season. NBA TV is holding a 1 hour special on the special games for this upcoming season with opening night, Christmas day, and Martin Luthar King Jr. day. On October 26th, the Miami Heat will play in Boston to battle with the defending eastern conference champions. The second game will feature the defending 2 time NBA champions, the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Houston Rockets in the Staples Center. It's sure to be an interesting opening night. I wonder if im the only one to realize that Dwyane Wade and Lebron James will be starting the season in the same place where both of their teams playoff runs ended last season. Wade losing in the first round and James getting the boot in the second. I have a strange feeling Bostons not prepared for whats going to happen on the 26th of October.

BYE BYE DELONTE

The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced they have waived point gured Delonte West. Delonte, who played last season in Cleveland, was dealt to Minnesota during this past offseason for a future 2013 second round draft pick. West has played spent the last two and a half seasons with the Cavs. Delonte played 60 games with Cleveland last year including 3 starts and averaged close to 9 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds.

WILLIAMS STAYING PUT IN ORLANDO

Jason Williams has decided to stay and re-sign with the Orlando Magic. Terms of the deal have not been released as Williams and the Magic were still finalizing the deal on Tuesday. Keeping Williams gives the Magic 3 point guards on the roster. Orlando has added point guard Chris Duhon and veteran small forward Quentin Richardson

SHOULD HE STAY OR SHOULD HE GO?

Fans of the new-look Golden State Warriors are all wondering the same thing... The FUTURE of Don Nelson. Nelson, who has one year left on his current contract with the team could possibly be replaced at the bench before the season gets started. New team owner Joe Lacob, who recently bought the Warriors for a record setting 450 MILLION dollars gave no hints or clues regarding the possible coaching change. According to Lacobs, he will meet with the team staff, evaluate what he sees, and will make "informed decisions". Nelson, who is the NBA's most winningest coach would likely be replaced by assistant coach Keith Smith. But according to the players, they would like to see Don stay. Besides, dont the Warriors have enough problems, why make matters worse with a young rookie coach expecting him to turn things around. Well if the Wariors do decide to hire a new coach, I hope they don't expect to go far or be in the top 10 of there respected conference. Remember what conference your in Golden State, the western conference. As long as the Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, Suns, and even the Thunder are around, the idea of making the playoffs is nothing but a dream. Just stick with Don Nelson, it's not his fault the team is the shape they are. Besides, if you hire a new coach, he wont live up to expectations and he'll be fired after the seasons ends anyways

BACKUP IS HERE!

Yes we did. Thats the slogan the Miami Heat created after the signings of Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, & Chris Bosh. With those 3 key players eating up so much cap, the heat still had to fill many more spots on there roster. But never doubt Pat Riley. Riles has done it again. With little cap and only 4 players on the heat roster, Riley did what most people couldn't. Riley has managed to sign both young and old talent that can give the heat an excellent boost. Adding names such as Juan Howard, Big Z, Mike Miller, & most recently Eddie House. The heat also retained players that were on the team a season ago in Udonis Haslem, Carlos Arroyo, James Jones, Jamal Magloire, and Joel Anthony. The heat currently have 14 players on the roster. They can have up to 20 players on the roster until the start of the season where they will have cut it down to at least 15 players. What most thought to be impossible, the Miami Heat have indeed did it. Who said you can't have an all-star game every night?

TOP FREE AGENTS STILL AVAILABLE

Larry Huges, Tracy McGrady, Jerry Stackhouse, & Allen Iverson are all veteran players who have yet to find a team they can play for this upcoming season. Is your favorite team willing to bank on these once superstar caliber athletes. Comment your thoughts

Remembering Lorenzen The WRIGHT Way

First of all, R.I.P. Lorenzen Wright. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Wright was found dead nine days after he went missing on top of a small hill that stopped just before a wooded area. His body was hidden by the thickness of the bushes. Lorenzen was reportedly shot at least a dozen times and said to have been robbed considering he was caryying between 2 and 3 THOUSAND dollars in large bills on him at the time of the shooting. Lorenzen Wright played 13 seasons in the NBA and has played for the Clippers, Hawks, Grizzlies, Kings, and most recent the Cavs. Wright was selected 7th overall in the 1996 NBA draft by the L.A. Clippers. The Wright family plans to hold a service for the former NBA star some time next week. The investigation is still ongoing, and police are treating the matter as a homicide case.

NYC BOUND?

Shannon Brown may be headed to the the big apple to team up with Amare Stoudemire and the New York Knicks. Nothing has been made official, but Brown has reportedly been offered a contract from the knicks worth 4 to 5 million dollars for X amount of years. The extent of the offer have not been confirmed. The Los Angeles Lakers are still hoping to resign the young point guard who currently is coming off the bench backing up both Derrick Fisher and Kobe Bryant. The Lakers on the other hand are looking at other free agent guards just incase they miss out on Shannon. The Lakers are said to have a deal on the table themselves, but with a potential starting job and more money being thrown at him from New York, the decision for Brown will certainly not be easy. Shannon, you already got a couple rings, why not get a few more dollars and PT (Playing Time) in a great marketing city such as New York.

DISCOVERING HIS ROOTS

Stoudemire has already known a few hebrew phrases and even has the star of david tattooed on his hand. But Amare believes he has jewish ties as he plans a trip to Isreal to discover his roots. He is on a week long visit to Isreal to learn about the area along with it's language and culture. According to Stoudemire, his "Hebrew Roots" come from his mother Carrie. Amare grew up in a spiritual household as his mother studied the scriptures and history and believes she is indeed a Hebrew. Stoudemire plans to hire a genealogist when he returns to the big apple to digg deeper. CAN YOU FEEL THE HEAT

THE MIAMI HEAT HAVE DONE IT! Personally I love the idea of the Three Kings but thats because I'm a die hard heat fan for LIFE. But what do think? Comment your feelings and I will give you my input

T-MAC & SHAQ STILL W/OUT A HOME

While almost a month has passed since the beginning of arguably the best free agency period in NBA history, there are still alot of talent left on the market. Even with the likes of Lebron James & Chris Bosh teaming up with Dwyane Wade in Miami , some may think the remaining free agents are of no use to any team. But those people are WRONG! Their are great amounts of talent left on the board. Such as Tracy McGrady & Shaquille O'Neal. True, these once dominant players are well past their prime, they still have the ability to contribute to an NBA franchise. Take Shaq. The big diesal is one of the greatest big men this sport has seen. His dominance may have diminished, but is still usefull to many teams. There are numerous reports that the Boston Celtics are interested in the big fella. The Celts could use a man as such to help there depth at center. Even with the signing of C Jermaine O'Neal, Boston would like to add at least one more center. With the injury of Kendrick Perkins expected to sideline him for the beginning of the season, The Celtics seam to be the best fit for Shaq. The biggest issue with Shaquille is his salary expectations. Shaq reportedly wants more than the 5.8 million dollar mid level exception and to play for a contender. At 38 years of age and carreer lows in last few seasons, Shaq just may have to swallow his enormous amount of pride and take less money if he expects to play this upcoming in the NBA. Hey Shaq, you want more money than your worth and a title contending team, keep this up and you can find yourself jobless or overseas playing along side Stephon Marbury in China.
As for Tracy McGragy, he seems to have mental issues. He's still living in the glory days. He still believes he can be the"MAN" on any NBA team. T-Mac has worked out for the Los Angeles Clippers and most recently the Chicago Bulls. Tracy has been talking as if he were already a member of the bulls and it's because of this, his services may not be needed after all in the windy city. Tracy reportedly still has "unfinished buisness" left in Chicago. The bulls have had their eye on McGrady since he entered his name in the NBA draft. They showed interest in him then and again in the 2000 free agency market. Chicago could indeed use him in a limited role as a wing man for their lack of outside shooters. When it comes to Tracy McGrady, it's certainly not about the money, it's about his stature and higher arcey on a team. If he can accept a limited role as the number 4 option at most, then maybe the former all star could find himself in Chicago Bull red and white this upcoming season
